Bright Spots: November
As the saying goes, a picture’s worth a thousand words. These are some bright spots I shared this past month on Instagram with tips, musings, and fun tidbits I think you’ll like. Follow along here.
1.) My coaching friend and I are on a mission to find bliss. What I’ve noticed is that isn’t something you find, it’s something you are. This little muffin reminds me that bliss is everywhere, particularly in street art of someone who ‘needs to brush their teeth.’ Good call. #livebrightly
2.) Shopping small today led me to these (something I think many of us can crack a smile at after a tough November). I only bought 10 packs. Did you get out for Small Business Saturday? Drop me a link in the comments of your favorite local shopping spots, especially if you own one!
3.) This Thanksgiving I turned toward the simple things. To be honest, it’s the first time in a long time I wanted to nest, hibernate, take time for me and family instead of go, go go! That’s my norm, the hustle. It’s comforting to know that with a little tenderness and loving care, we can create connections and moments of peace together. Wishing peace to you and yours this holiday season.
4.) Goal: settle the f*** down. It’s the end of the year, the trees have gone into hibernation, now it’s time to reflect, revise, renew and reestablish our WHY. Why are you doing what you do? What’s your deeper commitment? I’m committed to relaxing, cuddling with my muffins, reflecting on what 2016 has created and what’s in store for 2017. Who’s in? No, seriously, let’s do it, I’m ready.
5.) Life gets messy, might as well dive in. I’m a recovering perfectionist, it’s an upward battle but these 4 kids make the journey to live in the moment easier, sometimes harder, but doable. I’ve only got this one life, getting messy is more fun anyways. #livebrightly
6.)What is your biggest asset as a woman? You. Where do you place you on the totem pole of priorities? You see where I’m going here, right? If you treated yourself with the same attention and care that you treat those you love, what would that look like? What would that make possible for you? Feeling Uber reflective in this season.
